About the Location
The Masker tradition began more than 100 years ago in 1913, when Ora J. Masker and his wife Rena purchased close to 200 acres of farmland in the beautiful Warwick Valley. It was at this time that Ora and his wife Rena dedicated their lives to farming and discovered that the soil conditions and climate were perfect for apple trees. As time passed, Ora became a successful commercial apple farmer, harvesting thousands of bushels of apples each season. After his picking crew departed the farm following the harvest, Ora opened up the farm to local residents to take the remaining apples that had fallen from the trees. Word spread fast, and each season more and more folks came to the orchard to pick the drops. Thus the "pick-it-yourself" orchard was born.
Today, Masker Orchards is the only U-Pick orchard in the area where guests are welcome to drive through their apple orchards, pick some delicious apples, and spend the day picnicking under their 100+ year old trees!

FAQ
Q. While I definitely want "just one photo" of my family on my wall, will you be taking other portraits during our session?
A. Yes of course! I will take a variety of portraits during your mini session as time allows.
Q. I'd like to include my extended family in my Just One Photo session. Is there a limit on how many people can be in on the photo?
A. Extended family are welcome! While there is no limit on number of people per session, please note that larger groups of 10+ will take longer to coordinate directing and shooting that "just one photo" so plan on the full 15 minutes. If your large group is looking for photos with smaller subgroups, please book additional sessions per nuclear family.
Q. Can my dog be part of the portrait session?
A. Yes! Dogs are family members too! As long as you pick up after them and are respectful of the property, dogs are welcome. All dogs must be kept on a leash and be well behaved around other dogs and children. If a dog is unruly, the orchard may ask that they be removed for the safety of other guests.
Q. What happens after the photo session? When will I get to see my photos?
A. Your online gallery will be ready for viewing and ordering approximately 1 week after your photo session. Your online gallery will be open for 3 consecutive days to view, select your images, and purchase any photographic prints. One online gallery per photo session time slot.
Q. How many photos will be in my final gallery?
A. While there are no guarantees of number of final images, for a typical 15 minute session, I usually deliver approximately 8-15 final images per online gallery.
Q. I see a photo that I LOVE but it's in black and white. Can I get the color version?
A. For Orchard Sessions, all images in the gallery are sold as is.
Q. What happens if I don't make my image selections in those 3 days?
A. No worries! I will select the best image for your Gallery Frame and have it sent on your way! I will also send a link to download the matching digital file within 48 hours of your gallery closing
Q. But I'm the most indecisive person in the world! What if I need help with ordering?
A. If you need any assistance with your order, whether it be selecting the right photo for the right product, or narrowing down images to your favorites, I am happy to schedule a video chat or phone call with you during those 3 consecutive days.
Q. I love all the photos! Is there an option to purchase the entire gallery?
A. Absolutely! Once you review your gallery, there will be an option to upgrade your purchase to "Collection A" which includes Digital Download of the entire gallery for an additional $250
Q. Can I get the RAW files from my session?
A. No. RAW files are not included and not available for purchase.
Q. Who owns the copyright of the images taken during my session?
A. Original copyright of all images created during your session remains with the photographer (Julia Chang-Lomonico). Clients receive a limited copyright release to use purchased images for personal use only. Meaning you can share on your personal social media accounts (tagging me), and print as many copies to grandma's content! If you ever have question on when and where photos can be used (i.e. in a publication or 3rd party use) feel free have that 3rd party contact me directly.
Q. I'm a famous / public figure and need my images to be private.

Each family has a story to tell. A story that is steeped in chaos, laughter, and the everyday minutiae of family life. A story that is ultimately about love. Julia, a North Jersey documentary family photographer, is passionate about capturing these stories to show families the love and compassion that they can’t often see for themselves.
Julia’s own story is one that is woven around the family and friends that are her creative inspiration. She is a wearer of many hats: daughter and sister, food lover, aspiring yogi, karaoke diva, loving wife, and rock-star mom to two little girls.
Photography has always been the channel through which she documents the different stories of her life and she has turned her passion into a business of doing the same for the families she works with. She continues to seek out new families and new stories to tell with the same care, kindness, and humor she uses to document her own family.
