Rescuing Recess at East Brook School
Help me give a little towards a great cause. It is my honor to contribute to the East Brook PTO in their efforts to rescue recess. Despite mounting evidence that kids need an outlet to blow off steam, learn to interact with others and get the exercise they need, nearly 40 percent of American elementary schools have either eliminated or are considering eliminating recess. Due to school budget cuts and an increased focus on academic standards, millions of American school children may miss out on vital unstructured play with their peers.
By booking today, a portion of your session fee will be donated directly to a new playground that East Brook School so desperately needs.

FAQ
Q. I'd like to get a family portrait and a few individual shots of my kids. Is 15 minutes enough time?
A. Absolutely! Each 15 minute time slot should be plenty of time to photograph 1 micro family (up to 5 people). If you're still nervous about time you can always book additional back to back sessions.
Q. What if my group is larger than 5 people?
A. Give me a call (201) 704-1153 and we can work out the logistics. From a lighting and space perspective I can photograph up to 12 people.
Q. I'd love to get my kids photographed, but I have the hardest time getting my kids to do what I want in front of the camera. What can I do?
A. Children (mine included) will always have a harder time being photographed by their own parents. Why? Because we're their parents and their purpose in life to defy us! (or so it feels that way!) That is why I typically ask parents to wait outside or to not be in earshot during their child's session.
Q. Oh no! I booked a session and I just realized I can't make it at that time! What do I do?
A. Call me ASAP and I will try to get you rescheduled at a different time slot. Due to the charitable nature and production scale of this event, there are no refunds for cancelled or no show bookings.
Q. What happens after my session? How do I see the images from my session?
A. Approximately 2 weeks after your session, you will receive an email with a link to your personal online gallery of final edited images which will be open for 10 days. From there you will be able to pick the image for your included 8x10 mat as well as purchase any additional photos if you choose. Your order will be ready for pick up at East Brook Elementary School the first week in May. Shipping is also available for a small fee. Click here to see my full promotional product menu.
Q. I love this black & white photo of my family but I'm wondering what it looks like in color?
A. Each final edited image in your online gallery has been put through a rigorously discerning editing process, each adjustment carefully decided on, including whether or not the photo works best in b&w or color. All final edited images in your online gallery are sold as shown.
Q. Help! The week got away from me and my online gallery closed before I got to select my photo(s)!
A. Reminder emails are always sent a day or two before your online gallery actually closes. But if you still are unable to select your photos in time, fear not there is still hope! For $25, you can reopen and extend your online gallery expiry for 3 more days IF and only if you call me within 48 hours of your gallery closing. If images are not selected after the gallery closes a 2nd time, I will use my discretion to select an image for your included 8x10 mat.
Q. Digital files! I don't see them on your menu. What if something happens to my printed photos? Are they lost forever?
A. I am of the mindset that photographs are meant to be printed and enjoyed in a physical tangible form. But having digital files as backup is important for just that, backup. Therefore, all of my products include a matching digital file, sized to the dimensions of the product(s) they are used in. I also keep a digital file of all purchased images as backup. (Unpurchased images are archived and may be deleted.)

About the Photographer
Each family has a story to tell. A story that is steeped in chaos, laughter, and the everyday minutiae of family life. A story that is ultimately about love. Julia, a North Jersey documentary family photographer, is passionate about capturing these stories to show families the love and compassion that they can’t often see for themselves.
Julia’s own story is one that is woven around the family and friends that are her creative inspiration. She is a wearer of many hats: daughter and sister, food lover, aspiring yogi, karaoke diva, loving wife, and rock-star mom to two little girls.
Photography has always been the channel through which she documents the different stories of her life and she has turned her passion into a business of doing the same for the families she works with. She continues to seek out new families and new stories to tell with the same care, kindness, and humor she uses to document her own family.
